"Change" and "order" are two major forces in social life which have attracted the attention of social scientist from the foundation of modern social sciences until now. In the contemporary era, successive and rapid ‘social changes’ have strongly affected the various aspects and structures of social, economic, demographic and political life of societies and in some cases disrupted the ‘social order’. As a result, new emerging social problems apeared in different arenas such as health, employment, poverty, migration, marginalization, changing family patterns, divorce, etc. Social changes in developing societies, which are going through complex stages of economic, social and demographic transition, have been faster, wider and more complex. Therefor, the adaptation of these societies against the forces of social change is accompanied by various challenges. So, the intersection of the forces of "social continuity and change" and its impacts and consequences have become the most central and practical subjects of social sciences in the contemporary era.
